EVENT SUPPORT

Sydney North is an awe-inspiring journey through some of the city’s most breathtaking natural spaces; a chance to move, explore, and connect in one of the most scenic corners of Sydney. Starting at Clontarf Reserve, the course winds along the iconic Spit Bridge to Manly trail, weaving through coastal National Parks, along sandy beaches, past heritage lookouts, before finishing at the beloved shores of Manly Beach.
Along the way, you’ll soak up sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, the Northern Beaches, and the Heads. Ferries glide past, yachts dot the horizon, and the sea breeze reminds you you’re part of something special.
This course has a natural rhythm; longer swims that leave you buzzing, winding trails that invite you to take it all in, and moments to share with a teammate or a fellow participant by your side. The terrain shifts just enough to keep it interesting, with rewarding views waiting at every rise.
It’s not about being the fastest, it’s about being out there. Immersed in nature, sharing the experience, and finishing with salty skin, a happy heart, and a deep sense of accomplishment. From start to finish, this is swimrun at its most inspiring.
Distances are approximate and rounded for presentation in some instances. View the course on Google Maps for more details. Swim distances include any wade component. The final course is determined on the morning of the event. The course is not extensively marked, participants are required.
Our events are all about good vibes and great support. With friendly faces, cheers all around, and plenty of time to finish, it’s an adventure anyone can take on, and enjoy every step of the way.
Everyone completes every swim and run section, one after the other, from start to finish.
Racing as a team? The two of you will complete all sections together, side-by-side for the entire race.
Apart from the compulsory gear, you can race with as much or as little gear as you like.
There are no transitions, so you'll swim in your shoes and run with your cap and goggles.
Still have questions?

Swimrun Australia delivers complex, niche events with a small team of two. Events are expensive to run, and most non-refundable expenses are borne upfront. The cost to deliver an event is spread amongst a small number of participants, many of whom do not enter until close to race day.
The decisions we make and the risks we take to deliver an event for you are based on the level of entries we receive at certain milestones in the lead-up to the event. This policy ensures we can be confident in our decision-making, pay our suppliers, and ultimately commit to delivering the event.
Our four-week no-refund period is based on when we need to 100% commit to going ahead with the event and ensures explicitly that impending weather is not a factor in participant decision-making.
We constantly review our pricing and delivery model to ensure the best value for participants with a modest return for us, which we then use to develop our events, including creating new exciting events. We also review this policy annually to ensure it is fair and reasonable.
In return, we ask that participants join us on our journey, share a little of the risk, and support us in our vision to ensure that the sport of swimrun survives and thrives in Australia.
Thanks for your understanding and support; we truly appreciate it.
